Development Update at College Crescent – 09/06/15

TSG are now having to strengthen the ceiling  joist in the semi-basement, using additional timbers bolted to the side of the existing and a jiffy hanger at the end of the ceiling joist extending to the dining/lounge wall.

As the existing ceiling joist will not reach the new box frame steel beam, we will have to bolt new timbers onto the sides of the existing to extend them onto the new steel beam.

All of the existing rear windowsills are currently rendered brickwork and will need to be replaced with new recast concrete sills.  On the 3rd floor we are now fitting the new ceiling joists, bolted onto the side of the roof rafters and cut around the existing purlins to achieve the maximum head height on the 3rd Floor.
