Development Update at College Crescent – 13/06/16

On 17th May we experienced a serious flood on the first floor of the property, which has damaged all the wooden flooring, landing carpets and caused further damage to the ground and lower ground floor flats. Unfortunately, the leak from the mains water pipe was only discovered by the contractors when water started pouring through the lower ground floor ceiling. As a result of the damage, all viewings have been suspended until the property is completely dry and all of the damage has been rectified.

Although this has been a major set back to the marketing of the studios and flats, we have been able to continue with the outside facia which has now been completed. Work to the front area has also been delayed, as we have instructed another contractor to complete the work.

We have been advised that internal works will be completed on the 8th July, after which we will be issued with a completion certificate and will be in a position to allow the studios and flats to be occupied.

An insurance claim will be submitted to TSG’s insurance company to cover the damage and loss of rent.
